Your right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges, under the federal No Surprises Act.
Under the federal No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to give patients who aren't using insurance to pay for services (self-pay, or without submitting a claim to insurance) an estimate of expected charges before receiving care.
Your estimate will reflect expected costs for therapy sessions based on the anticipated frequency and duration of treatment discussed during your consultation. Because the actual course of treatment depends on your individual needs and can change over time, the estimate is not a fixed contract for services or costs — it's a good-faith projection based on what's known at the time it's provided.
